Our site in Southern Colorado, known as Johndawandaland, is host to several unique features such as ancient glacial and stream deposits that are ideal for geologic research. Using these ancient deposits as proxies, plus collection of real time hydrologic and geophysical data students can gain an understanding of the modern stream processes that have helped shaped the Huerfano Valley alongside glaciation events that occurred there.
